- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 tbsp. orange juice
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 c. unsweetened cherry juice 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. grated orange rind
- 4 c. red tart unsweetened cherries
- 9 tart shells
Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, and fruit juices. Cook over direct heat for 5 minutes or until thickened and clear. Remove from heat; add butter, orange rind, and cherries. Cool. Put into tart shells. Serve plain or with ice cream or whipped cream.
